Alcossebre is a traditional Spanish town with a range of local shops and bars. The local area is of significant historic importance with many castles, churches, monasteries and museums to explore. Las Arenas apartments (newly completed in January ‘07) are part of the new Palm Beach development in Alcossebre. They are situated within easy walking distance of the coast and the beautiful sandy, blue flag, beach of Playa Romana.
Las Arenas offers superb holiday facilities with swimming pool, tennis court and children's play area, along with sea-front restaurants close by and the town centre being a leisurely 20 minute stroll along the newly built boardwalk or a 5 minute car journey.
Children are very well catered for with most local bars and restaurants welcoming children throughout the day and evening.
There are beautiful walks along the coast or around the marina where you can stop off for a coffee, watch the world go by and watch the golden sunset in the distance.
A 20 minute drive to the North takes you to the commercial town of Benicarlò where you will find a large Carrefour hypermarket offering a whole variety of goods at much discounted prices. All forms of debit and credit cards are taken — just remember to take a 1 Euro coin with you for the trolley! An hours drive to the South of the apartment is the large town of Castellòn where the commercial centre offers a wide range of out of town shops. Close by, there is the new modern shopping centre where the very best of Spanish design can be purchased along with many top name brands.
